Axis Bank Partners with Adda Education to Launch Hire-Train-Deploy Programme for Commercial Banking RMs

February 25, 2026: Axis Bank, one of India’s largest private sector banks, has collaborated with Adda Education to launch a structured Hire-Train-Deploy (HTD) programme aimed at creating a specialised cadre of Relationship Managers (RMs) for its Commercial Banking Group (CBG).

The initiative is strategically aligned to strengthen the Bank’s rapidly expanding Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) franchise — a key priority segment driving growth within its Commercial Banking portfolio.

Building Deployment-Ready Talent for SME Banking

Designed as a differentiated skilling model, the HTD programme departs from conventional hiring approaches by equipping candidates with role-specific, application-led training before deployment. The objective is to ensure that Relationship Managers are fully prepared to engage with SME clients from day one.

Launched against the backdrop of the Union Budget 2026’s strong focus on skilling and service-sector employment, the programme aims to bridge the gap between recruitment and real-world readiness through a structured, industry-integrated curriculum.

Key Features of the Programme

  • Co-curated, role-specific curriculum aligned to Commercial Banking RM requirements
  • Practice-led learning through real-life simulations and customer engagement scenarios
  • Structured exposure to products, processes, and regulatory frameworks
  • Deployment-ready certification mapped directly to Axis Bank’s CBG roles

Leadership Speak

Commenting on the initiative, Rajkamal Vempati, Group Executive & Head – Human Resources, Axis Bank, said:

“As the services sector plays an increasingly pivotal role in India’s growth, the need for job-ready, future-facing talent has never been greater, especially in a high-priority segment like SMEs. The Hire-Train-Deploy programme enables us to scale a high-quality, deployment-ready talent pipeline aligned to the evolving needs of our Commercial Banking business, while creating meaningful career growth opportunities.”

Bimaljeet Bhasin, CEO – Skilling & Higher Education, Adda Education, added:

“The launch of the CBG Relationship Manager Programme reflects Axis Bank’s continued trust in Career247 to build a high-quality talent pipeline for complex, customer-facing roles. This collaboration marks a natural expansion of our partnership into Commercial Banking, focused on developing Relationship Managers who are prepared for real-world business challenges and aligned with the Bank’s customer-centric growth strategy.”

Strengthening the Talent Ecosystem

With this initiative, Axis Bank reinforces its commitment to building differentiated RM capabilities in SME banking while contributing to India’s broader skilling and employment agenda. The Hire-Train-Deploy model not only supports business growth but also creates a structured pathway for aspiring professionals to enter high-impact roles in commercial banking.

The collaboration underscores a growing trend in the financial services sector — integrating targeted skilling programmes with strategic workforce planning to create sustainable, future-ready talent ecosystems.
