Ather Energy Crosses 500 Experience Centres, Accelerates Nationwide Expansion

Bengaluru, September 2025:

Ather Energy Limited, India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has achieved a significant milestone by opening over 500 Experience Centres (ECs) across the country. The expansion, driven by strong consumer demand for its portfolio—particularly the Rizta, Ather’s first family scooter—marks a new chapter in the company’s nationwide growth.

Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, said:
“Crossing 500 Experience Centres marks an important step in our growth journey, as we continue to expand our presence in line with rising demand across markets. While South India remains our strongest base, the success of Rizta has helped us fast-track expansion in Middle and North India. This growth extends beyond metros, with equally encouraging response from tier-2 and tier-3 cities. Our focus remains on making Ather accessible to more customers across India, with the aim of reaching 700 Experience Centres by the end of FY26.”

Between June and August 2025, Ather added 101 new ECs, over half of which were in Middle and North India, spanning cities such as Agra, Mandsaur, Jabalpur, Sundargarh, Vadodara, and Bilaspur. Expansion also continued in South India, where Ather enjoys market leadership, along with tier-2 and tier-3 locations like Calicut, Indore, Nashik, Coimbatore, Guntur, Haldwani, Satara, Kota, Kangra, and Aizwal. The company is also strengthening its Ather Gold service centres to complement its retail network.

Ather now has a robust presence in key states, with Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu each housing over 50 ECs. At the city level, Bengaluru leads with 18 centres, followed by Pune and Hyderabad (13 each), Delhi (9), and Mumbai and Chennai (8 each). Backed by retail expansion, Ather’s national market share rose to 14.3% in Q1 FY26, up from 7.6% a year earlier. In Middle India, its share grew 2.6x to 10.7%, while the company retained a dominant 22.8% market share in South India.

Ather’s current portfolio includes the 450 series, designed for performance, and the Rizta, tailored for family use. At Ather Community Day 2025, the company unveiled its next-generation EL platform, introduced AtherStack™ 7.0 with AI-driven features such as voice-enabled interaction, Pothole and Crash Alerts, launched Infinite Cruise™ for the 450 Apex, and rolled out a touchscreen upgrade for the Rizta Z.

The company currently operates two plants in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, dedicated to vehicle assembly and battery manufacturing, and is setting up a third facility in Bidkin, AURIC, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra. Once operational, this will raise Ather’s annual capacity to 1.42 million electric two-wheelers.
