RPA National Journalism Honour 2026 Celebrated at Kolkata Press Club

Kolkata: The RPA National Journalism Honour 2026 was successfully held at the Kolkata Press Club, bringing together eminent personalities from the fields of journalism, education, and social service to celebrate excellence in media.

The event was graced by Dr. Madan Chandra Karan Vidyalankar as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Amal K. Bhowmik and Debkumar Dey attended as Special Guests. Other distinguished dignitaries on the dais included Debjani Ghosh, President of the organisation; Anup Kumar Bardhan, Founder and Secretary; Shubhra Nayek, Joint Secretary; and Mousumi Bardhan, Cultural Secretary.

The prestigious ceremony was organised by the Reporters and Photographers Association (RPA) with the support of the Alok Foundation and the Indian Institution of Journalists.

This year, ten journalists were honoured with the RPA National Journalism Honour 2026 in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the field of journalism. The awardees were Tushar Patowari, Krishna Prasad Patra, Molla Jasimuddin, Arup Guha, Gopal Debnath, Gopal Chakraborty, Karunamoy Chatterjee, Shyamal Talukdar, Pradip Baral, and Narendranath Mondal.

The event was meticulously planned and successfully coordinated by Anup Kumar Bardhan, Founder and Secretary of the organisation, with the active support of Joint Secretary Shubhra Nayek, ensuring the grand success of the programme.
