Jindal (India) Limited, part of the BC Jindal Group and one of India’s leading downstream steel products manufacturers, has successfully commissioned its state-of-the-art high-speed continuous Colour Coating Line (CCL) at its Ranihati manufacturing facility in Howrah, West Bengal.
With this milestone, the company has officially completed its ambitious ₹1,500-crore capital expenditure investment in West Bengal. Earlier in February 2026, the company had also commissioned a modern Galvanizing Coating Line, Cold Rolling Mill and Pickling Facility.
The newly launched Colour Coating Line was developed under a technology partnership with John Cockerill India and is expected to produce around 2.75 lakh tonnes annually. The company projects a 75% rise in revenue by FY27 as production capacity is set to touch 60,000 tonnes per month.
According to the company, the advanced facility is equipped with modern systems including multi-stage cleaning, tension leveller, chemical coating, drying and paint coating sections, curing ovens, inspection station and cold laminator. The plant can manufacture a wide range of premium coated steel products using Polyester, SMP, Epoxy, PVC, PU, PVDF and Teflon coatings.
A spokesperson of Jindal (India) Limited said the expansion reflects the company’s commitment towards India’s growing infrastructure demand and will help the company emerge as a high-volume player while maintaining premium product quality.
Jindal (India) Limited currently operates two major factories in Howrah and remains one of the strongest players in the colour-coated steel segment, especially in Eastern India. Brands like Jindal Sabrang and Jindal NeuColor+ have helped the company build a strong nationwide presence.
Founded in 1952, Jindal (India) Limited is part of the BC Jindal Group led by Shyam Sunder Jindal. The group has diversified interests in steel products, packaging films and energy sectors.
