TPREL Partners with Bengal Chamber to Boost Rooftop Solar Adoption Among MSMEs in West Bengal

Kolkata, 30 December 2025:
Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), one of India’s leading renewable energy companies and a subsidiary of Tata Power, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCC&I) to accelerate the adoption of rooftop solar solutions among Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across West Bengal.

The strategic collaboration aims to roll out structured awareness, capacity-building and outreach programmes for MSMEs operating in key industrial sectors of the state. Through this partnership, TPREL and BCC&I will work closely to promote clean energy adoption, reduce energy costs for businesses, and strengthen West Bengal’s transition towards sustainable power solutions.

Tata Power Solaroof has already established a strong footprint in West Bengal, with over 85 MWp of cumulative rooftop solar capacity installed through 20+ channel partners. This robust local ecosystem enables effective engagement with MSMEs, seamless project execution and reliable after-sales support across industrial clusters in the state.

At the business level, Tata Power Solaroof serves residential, commercial and industrial segments, offering comprehensive end-to-end rooftop solar solutions. These include high-performance solar modules with a 25-year performance warranty, financing options, insurance coverage and strong after-sales service—empowering enterprises to confidently shift to cleaner and more resilient energy systems.

On a pan-India scale, Tata Power Solaroof is supported by a national network of 650+ channel partners, ensuring consistency, scalability and reliability in rooftop solar deployment. This expansion aligns with the country’s growing rooftop solar momentum, with installations crossing 3 lakh systems and accounting for over 4 GWp of installed capacity nationwide.

Through initiatives such as this MoU with BCC&I, TPREL continues to play a significant role in India’s clean energy journey, supporting national goals of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030 and progressing towards net-zero emissions by 2070.

With this collaboration, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited reinforces its commitment to empowering MSMEs, driving sustainable industrial growth in West Bengal, and advancing India’s renewable energy transition.
