Kolkata:
Taki Girls’ Primary School and Taki Boys’ School, located near Sealdah, witnessed a vibrant celebration of talent, learning and achievement as they hosted separate cultural programmes and prize distribution ceremonies, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, parents and educators.

The morning programme at Taki Girls’ Primary School was held under the guidance of Headmistress Sunita Dasgupta, where students from the PP class to Class V were felicitated for their excellence across multiple categories. Prizes were awarded for academic merit, drawing, project exhibitions and sports, encouraging holistic development among young learners. The event was further enriched by delightful performances in poetry recitation and group singing, showcasing the confidence and creativity of the students.

Adding prestige to the occasion, Samir Majumdar, School Inspector of Circle No. 17, Kolkata, graced the programme as the chief guest. Parents and visitors appreciated the school’s initiative of displaying artwork and visual messages promoting environmental awareness, including clean surroundings, water conservation and afforestation. These exhibits, many felt, leave a lasting impression on young minds and nurture responsible citizenship.

Addressing the gathering, Headmistress Sunita Dasgupta said, “Today, we organised our annual prize distribution ceremony to recognise the efforts of all our students. Every child has participated wholeheartedly and performed to the best of their ability.”

In the afternoon, celebrations continued at Taki Boys’ School, where the institution marked the tenth anniversary of its second campus with great enthusiasm. Under the leadership of Headmistress Dr Swagata Basak, the presence of current and former students added a special emotional dimension to the occasion. The event was attended by senior officials from the State Education Department and the local councillor, reflecting the significance of the milestone.

The day-long celebrations at both institutions stood as a testament to their commitment to academic excellence, cultural enrichment and value-based education, inspiring students to strive for a brighter and more responsible future.
