Kolkata | December 01, 2025: Elekta has announced the India launch of Evo*, its latest next-generation linear accelerator (linac) equipped with advanced AI-driven imaging and adaptive radiation therapy capabilities. Following successful rollouts in Europe and other global markets, Evo will now support clinicians across India with improved precision and flexibility in cancer treatment. The system made its India debut at AROICON 2025 in Kolkata, the largest radiation oncology industry exhibition in the country.
Positioned as a versatile CT-Linac solution, Evo enables treatment centers to choose the optimal radiation therapy technique tailored to each patient, offering enhanced visualization and real-time adaptability.
“A new level of flexibility for India’s radiotherapy landscape”
Feras Al Hasan, Head of TIMEA, Elekta, said:
“We are delighted to introduce Evo in India. The platform elevates treatment personalization and workflow efficiency. Supporting both online and offline adaptive therapies, Evo empowers clinicians to adjust plans based on daily anatomical changes—critical in India where many patients present with complex or advanced cancers. This launch reinforces Elekta’s commitment to expanding access to high-quality cancer care globally.”
Shankar Seshadri, VP & Head – India Sub-continent, added:
“India needs solutions that bring precision and practicality together. Evo’s adaptive capabilities and streamlined operations allow high-volume centers to treat more patients without compromising outcomes. This milestone will accelerate Elekta’s growth and strengthen cancer care infrastructure across the region.”

High-definition imaging for precise adaptive treatment
Adaptive radiotherapy adjusts treatment plans throughout the therapy course to account for tumor or anatomical changes. Evo delivers this through:
- Iris®™ AI-enhanced imaging – improving the clarity of tumor targets and organs-at-risk
- Elekta ONE Online** – enabling distributed planning, rapid dose calculation and AI-automated contouring and planning
These innovations help clinicians visualize changes accurately and deliver more confident, personalized treatments.
*Elekta Evo has CDSCO registration with limited global availability.
**Elekta ONE® consists of multiple solutions; availability varies by market.
