The social and educational organization Apna Adhikar celebrated Independence Day on August 15, 2025, with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. On this occasion, drawing and essay competitions were organized among the students of the institution, along with vibrant cultural performances that were highly appreciated by the audience.
The objective of the celebration was not only to polish the talents of children but also to instill in them a sense of patriotism, self-confidence, and the aspiration for a brighter future.
It is noteworthy that Apna Adhikar has been actively working for many years in Moti Jheel and other areas of Kolkata for the education, training, and welfare of underprivileged communities, especially children. At present, more than 150 children from the Moti Jheel area alone are receiving quality education and striving to shape a better life for themselves.
Along with children’s education, the organization is also making remarkable contributions towards empowering women. Through vocational training and educational programs, women are being supported to become economically and socially stronger so they can play a more meaningful role in society.
In this regard, the representatives of the institution stated that their continuous mission is to spread awareness about the importance of education and guide children from underprivileged sections towards a successful future, enabling them to establish their own identity in society.
