
Kolkata 26 April: Union Minister of Textiles, Giriraj Singh, inaugurated the newly constructed JBA Hall at the Jute House in Kolkata today. The event witnessed the presence of West Bengal government officials, industrialists, and a large number of stakeholders from the textile and jute business sectors.
In his address, the minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to elevating India’s textile and jute sectors to a global level. He emphasized that such initiatives not only foster industrial growth and innovation but also play a vital role in creating employment opportunities and earning foreign exchange for the country.
Giriraj Singh discussed key issues faced by the industry and deliberated on strategies for development. He stressed the importance of value addition in jute production, adoption of advanced technologies, and the implementation of sustainable practices to meet the demands of global markets.
He also urged industry leaders to collaborate closely with the government to take India’s textile and jute sectors to new heights.
