
Special Congregational Prayers to Be Led by Hafiz Ehsan Raza Rizvi; Public Invited to Participate in Large Numbers
Howrah, 16 February 2026: A 15-day Taraweeh prayer with the completion of the Holy Quran has been announced at Syed Mir Mosque, located at 146 J. N. Mukherjee Road, Ghusuri, Howrah. The special Taraweeh prayers will be led by Hafiz Ehsan Raza Rizvi, bringing a spiritually enriching experience for worshippers during the holy month of Ramadan.
In this connection, a preparatory meeting was held today after Zuhr prayers under the leadership of Anwar Ali Qadri, Khadim of Syed Mir Mazar. The meeting was attended by several respected religious scholars, community leaders, and mosque committee members.
Among those present were Hafiz Mohammad Zareef, former Imam of Firdous Mosque; Badru Doza Ansari, social worker; along with Firoz Khan, Mohammad Salim, Mohammad Shahid, and Mohammad Muslim, General Secretary of the mosque committee.
Due to the ill health of the General Secretary, the meeting proceedings and key decisions were communicated by Mohammad Shamim Khan, Vice President of the mosque.
Decision Taken Keeping Workers in Mind
Addressing the gathering, Mohammad Shamim Khan stated that, keeping the daily schedule of labourers and working-class devotees in mind, the committee unanimously decided to organise Taraweeh prayers with completion of the Holy Quran in 15 days, ensuring wider participation and convenience.
Hafiz Ehsan Raza Rizvi also addressed the gathering and informed that Taraweeh prayers will be offered immediately after Isha prayers, Insha’Allah.
The mosque committee has appealed to all devotees and residents of the area to attend the Taraweeh prayers in large numbers and benefit from this spiritually significant arrangement during the blessed month of Ramadan.
